Welcome to HostingSutra. Here is exactly what happens between checkout and your website going live.
1. Payment confirmation
As soon as your payment is confirmed, your invoice is marked as Paid and you receive an Invoice Payment Confirmation email. If you paid by a method that needs manual confirmation, activation happens once the payment clears.
2. Instant account activation
Shared and WordPress hosting accounts are provisioned automatically, usually within a minute of payment. You will receive a New Account Information email containing:
- Your cPanel username and password
- Your cPanel URL and temporary site URL
- Your server name, IP address and nameservers
Cloud VPS orders are provisioned once the server image is deployed, and you receive root credentials by email.
3. Point your domain
If you registered your domain with us, it is already pointed at your hosting. If your domain is registered elsewhere, update its nameservers to the ones in your welcome email. See How to Point Your Domain to HostingSutra.
4. Build or move your site
You can now:
- Install WordPress or any of 400+ apps with the one-click installer
- Upload your existing site with File Manager or FTP
- Ask our engineers for a free migration from your old host
5. SSL is issued automatically
Once your domain resolves to our servers, a free SSL certificate is issued and renewed automatically. This usually completes within a few hours of DNS pointing correctly.
