Your hosting account credentials are sent in your welcome email, but you can always retrieve them from the client area.
From the client area
- Log in at hostingsutra.com/clientarea.php.
- Go to Services → My Services and click your hosting plan.
- The product details page shows your username, server name, IP address and nameservers.
- Click Login to cPanel to jump in without typing a password.
Resetting the cPanel password
On the same page, use Change Password to set a new cPanel password. Note that this also changes the password for your primary FTP account.
FTP details
- Host: your domain name, or the server hostname from your welcome email
- Username: your cPanel username (or a separate FTP user you create)
- Port: 21 for FTP, 22 for SFTP
- Protocol: use FTP over TLS or SFTP wherever possible
Keep these separate
Three different passwords are involved in a hosting account, and mixing them up is the most common support ticket we see:
- Client area password — billing and account management
- cPanel password — hosting control panel and primary FTP
- Email account password — set per mailbox in cPanel
